The theme of the annual E-FAITH weekend for 2018 has been decided at the Barcelona workshop (14-01-2017):

"Industrialization, science and technology, Key to European integration”
to see how industry, science and technology have contributed to the current configuration of the European Union.

The industrialization of the nineteenth century produced key social and economic changes.
These are fundamentals to understand Europe today (migration, improvement of the quality of life (electricity, water for all, the ease of transport and communication, etc.). They illustrate the transfer of technologies in a global world, in a Europe where borders became less and less 'borders'.
The rise of trade, industry and technology illustrates how in Europe we depend on each other.

The weekend will take place in Brussels at the end of January 2019
