2018 EUROPEAN YEAR OF CULTURAL HERITAGE PROMOTE THE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE An appeal to volunteers and voluntary associations !

Because of the role industrial and technological development played in the development of the European continent, and the influence Europe had on other continents, we are convinced that the industrial heritage should play a major role in the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

EFAITH is one of the stakeholders of the European Year of Cultural Heritage

EFAITH has chosen to focus on and to stimulate the initiatives of volunteers and associations in, order to strengthen the role and approach of the voluntary sector. We also want to emphasize a common European approach, a cooperation between volunteers and voluntary associations accross borders.

• We group the different initiatives across Europe thematically in six theme months
• promote twinning and close cooperation between associations

• and there will of course be our 2018 weekend

However - it depends on every industrial heritage association to turn 2018 into a success and to promote the industrial heritage on a local, regional, national and European level !
